ABOUT ME
Hi, I'm Natalie. I'm a relational integrative therapist, working online with adults across the UK and in person in East London.
Life transitions
A lot of the people I work with come at a turning point. A relationship has ended, or a job, or a version of yourself that used to work. Sometimes the change was sudden. Sometimes it crept up, and you only noticed once the old life stopped fitting. Either way, you may be left unsure who you are now, or what you want, or why you keep saying yes when you mean no.
You don't need to have it figured out before you get in touch. Making sense of a change, and of what it asks of you, is the work.
My background
Before retraining as a therapist, I ran my own business for many years, and I know how quickly a life can change direction. It left me curious about the ways we learn to cope. They are often necessary at the time, but over the years they can leave us feeling at a distance from ourselves.
Grief and loss
Alongside my private practice, I support people bereaved by suicide. Sitting with grief, trauma and profound loss has taught me that there is rarely a quick answer to emotional pain. Healing tends to begin in a relationship where nothing about your experience has to be hurried, explained or fixed.
How I work
I'm an integrative therapist, so I draw on different approaches depending on what suits you rather than fitting you to one method. I also work with depth psychology, which looks at the patterns we carry from earlier in life and what sits beneath them, often outside our awareness.
Training
I'm a qualified psychotherapeutic counsellor with a BSc (Hons) in Psychology and a Level 4 Diploma in Psychotherapeutic Counselling, and I'm continuing my training in depth psychology.
If you'd like to see whether this feels like the right fit, I offer a free, no-obligation 30-minute consultation.
